Barbara Griffin obtained her B.S. in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology from the University of Central Florida in 2008. She obtained her law degree from The University of Akron School of Law in 2012. Mrs. Griffin is a first generation Cuban-American originally from Miami, Florida and fluent in Spanish.

Prior to joining the firm in 2016, Mrs. Griffin practiced immigration law in Columbus, Ohio and Virginia Beach, Virginia where she represented clients before the Executive Office for Immigration Review and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). Attorney Griffin focused on removal defense and family-based immigration cases. She also has experience in employment-based immigration, criminal defense, and juvenile and domestic relations law.

Barbara also has expertise in corporate and small business law, concentrating in all aspects of business law from the initial business startup, acting as ongoing counsel for daily operations and purchase and sales agreements, as well as planning for ownership succession.

As an alumnus of The University of Akron School of Law, Mrs. Griffin was president of the Asian-Latino Law Student Association and vice president of the Akron Criminal Justice Society.

Mrs. Griffin currently resides in Stow with her husband, Jim, and their daughter, Betty.
